A place for parents navigating body image & diet culture
Millennial Mom's Club is a space for parents across the gender spectrum (the mom is really for alliteration purposes) to talk about body image, caring for ourselves as deeply as we care for our kids, and parenting in a weight-obsessed world.
We grew up with oprah and her wagon of fat. All our moms were on weight watchers and atkins. tyra banks taught us about body image. If it weren't for the constant bops from spice girls and britney spears, we would have lost our minds.
Millennials had it rough.
This group is designed to be a casual, cozy space for parents to talk about the particular challenges of feeding yourself (and your kids) as a parent. We'll also talk about body image, movement, and self-care. This is open to people in eating disorder recovery or simply anyone looking this kind of community.
The group will led by Meghan McGann, a registered dietitian committed to fat-positive, LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse-affirming practices. She is a proud millennial and mom of a sweet 18 month old. You can read more about Meghan here.
Looking for more personalized help, not sure the group is right for you, or have other questions? You can contact me here or email me at hello@newmoonrd.com.
We're not going to ask your age; if you're a little older or a little younger than a true millennial, I won't tell (as long as you love 90s pop as much as I do).
The group will be held Fridays from 12-115pm EST starting November 1, 2024. It will run for 8 weeks and will be held on Zoom (no group the week of Thanksgiving).
Nope! Although I created this group with newer mothers in mind, you're welcome here whether you're currently pregnant or have an older child.
